Terms of Use
Effective Date: 2026-08-01
Welcome to The Campus Feed. The Campus Feed is a Local Niche Media product. Local Niche Media is owned and operated by Percycom, LLC (“Percycom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Campus Feed website, services, features, and communities (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use The Campus Feed.
Access to individual Campus Feed communities is limited to people who can verify an email address associated with a participating college, university, or other institution. Eligible users may include students, faculty, staff, or other individuals who have a valid email address issued by the participating institution.
Verification of an institutional email address establishes eligibility to access that institution’s Campus Feed. It does not establish or verify any other information about a user.
You may not allow another person to use your account or attempt to gain access to a Campus Feed for an institution for which you do not have a valid email address.
2. Independent Service
The Campus Feed is an independent service.
Percycom, LLC and The Campus Feed are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any college, university, or other participating institution unless we expressly state otherwise.
The use of an institution’s name to identify a Campus Feed community does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by that institution.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to The Campus Feed, including posts, replies, photographs, audio, video, profile information, and other materials (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you grant Percycom, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, process, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, improve, and operate The Campus Feed.
This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is reasonably necessary for backups, legal compliance, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate operational purposes.
You are responsible for the User Content you submit and for ensuring that you have the right to post it.
4. Community Conduct
The Campus Feed is intended to provide participating institutional communities with a place to connect, communicate, exchange information, and interact with one another.
You may not use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or abuse another person.
- Post unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or intentionally deceptive content.
- Promote hatred or violence against individuals or groups.
- Impersonate another person or falsely represent your affiliation with an organization.
- Violate another person’s privacy or publish personal or confidential information without authorization.
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- Distribute malware, malicious code, scams, phishing attempts, or other harmful material.
- Circumvent security, access controls, moderation systems, or other features of the Service.
- Engage in spam or other disruptive behavior.
- Use the Service primarily for commercial advertising, solicitation, or promotion.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Additional expectations may be described in our Community Guidelines. The Community Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms.
5. Buying, Selling, and Other Transactions
Users may use The Campus Feed to offer, seek, buy, sell, or exchange permitted goods and services.
The Campus Feed provides a communication platform only. Percycom, LLC is not a buyer, seller, broker, payment processor, marketplace intermediary, or party to transactions between users.
We do not inspect, verify, guarantee, or warrant goods or services offered by users. You are responsible for evaluating another user, the item or service involved, payment arrangements, meeting arrangements, delivery, and all other aspects of a transaction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Percycom, LLC is not responsible for losses, injuries, disputes, misrepresentations, nonpayment, nondelivery, defective goods, or other problems arising from transactions or interactions between users.
6. Prohibited Goods and Services
The Campus Feed may not be used to offer, request, buy, sell, exchange, or facilitate:
- Illegal goods or services.
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives, or similar items.
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances.
- Alcohol.
- Prescription medications.
- Stolen property.
- Counterfeit goods.
- Sexually explicit or sexual services.
- Academic cheating, including the sale or purchase of completed assignments, examinations, papers, or similar academic work.
- Any goods or services whose sale or transfer would violate applicable law or institutional rules.
We may prohibit additional categories when we believe doing so is necessary for safety, legal compliance, or the integrity of the Service.
7. Commercial Promotion
The Campus Feed is intended for community participation, not commercial advertising or solicitation.
Businesses and individuals may not use user accounts, posts, Groups, messages, or other Service features primarily to advertise or promote commercial products, services, businesses, or organizations without our permission.
This restriction does not prevent ordinary users from selling personal items or otherwise participating in permitted user-to-user transactions.
8. Groups
Users may create and participate in Groups within their institutional Campus Feed.
Group owners have limited administrative capabilities provided by the Service. A Group owner is not an employee, agent, representative, or moderator of Percycom, LLC and does not assume responsibility on behalf of The Campus Feed for content posted by other Group members.
Membership in a Group does not necessarily make Group posts private. Group content may also appear elsewhere within that institution’s Campus Feed according to the features and settings of the Service.
We may modify, restrict, or remove Groups when necessary to enforce these Terms or operate the Service.
9. Invitations
The Campus Feed may allow users to invite other people using personal invitation links or other sharing tools.
Invitation links do not grant access to The Campus Feed. Every person seeking access must independently satisfy our eligibility requirements and verify an eligible institutional email address.
You may share your invitation link with people you reasonably believe may be eligible and interested in joining. You may not use invitations for unsolicited mass distribution, spam, or repeatedly send invitations to the same person after they have not responded or indicated that they are not interested.
We may restrict or disable invitation privileges if they are abused.
10. Surveys and Research
From time to time, The Campus Feed may invite users to participate in surveys, polls, research, or similar activities.
Participation is voluntary unless we clearly state otherwise. You may decline to participate in any survey or research activity.
You may also opt out of receiving future survey or research invitations.
Additional information about how information collected through surveys is used may be provided when a survey is offered and is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
11. Moderation and Enforcement
We want The Campus Feed to remain useful and safe for its communities.
We reserve the right, but do not assume an obligation, to review, restrict, remove, or refuse User Content or activity on the Service.
We may warn users, limit features, remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when we believe a user has violated these Terms or our Community Guidelines, created a risk to other users or the Service, violated applicable law, abused the Service, or otherwise engaged in conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the community or our ability to operate the Service.
We are not obligated to moderate every post, message, Group, transaction, or interaction, and the presence of content on The Campus Feed does not mean we endorse or approve it.
12. Interactions With Other Users
You are responsible for your interactions with other users, whether those interactions occur through The Campus Feed or in person.
Exercise appropriate judgment when communicating with people you do not know, exchanging money or property, arranging meetings, attending events, or otherwise acting on information obtained through the Service.
Percycom, LLC does not conduct background checks on users and does not guarantee the identity, conduct, intentions, representations, or reliability of any user.
13. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, The Campus Feed and its software, design, branding, graphics, text, features, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Percycom, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use the Service only for its intended purposes. These Terms do not grant you ownership of any portion of The Campus Feed or the right to use our trademarks, branding, or other proprietary materials outside the Service.
14. Service Availability
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of The Campus Feed at any time.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will always be preserved.
You are responsible for maintaining copies of any content or information you do not want to lose.
15. Disclaimers
The Campus Feed is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Percycom, LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and security.
We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of content posted by users, the conduct of users, the quality or legality of goods or services offered through the Service, or the outcome of any interaction or transaction.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Percycom, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, The Campus Feed.
This includes, without limitation, losses arising from User Content, interactions with other users, transactions between users, events, unauthorized access, loss of data, or reliance on information obtained through the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Percycom, LLC for claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Percycom, LLC to use The Campus Feed during the 12 months preceding the claim or $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Percycom, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of another person’s rights, or your unlawful use of the Service.
18. Termination
You may stop using The Campus Feed at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or potential legal exposure for us or others, or engaged in conduct inconsistent with the intended operation of The Campus Feed.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and disputes, will survive.
19. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using The Campus Feed, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as The Campus Feed evolves.
When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or require users to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use The Campus Feed.
The effective date at the top of these Terms indicates when the current version became effective.
21. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to The Campus Feed will be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.
Any legal proceeding arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Wyoming, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a proceeding elsewhere.
22. General Terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or other transfer of the Service or our business.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the agreement between you and Percycom, LLC regarding your use of The Campus Feed.
