Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2026-08-01
The Campus Feed is a Local Niche Media product. Local Niche Media is owned and operated by Percycom, LLC (“Percycom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use The Campus Feed, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have regarding your information.
By using The Campus Feed, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information You Provide
When you create or use an account, you may provide information including:
- Your institutional email address.
- Your name.
- Your date of birth.
- Your graduation year.
- Your field of study.
- Your profile photo or headshot.
- Your profile biography.
- Posts, replies, images, video, audio, and other content you submit.
- Group memberships and activity.
- Friend connections.
- Direct messages.
- Reports, feedback, and other communications you send to us.
- Responses you voluntarily provide through surveys, polls, research, or similar activities.
Some profile fields may be optional.
2. Institutional Email Addresses
The Campus Feed uses institutional email addresses to determine whether someone is eligible to join a participating school community and to associate that person with the appropriate Feed.
We may send verification codes or other account-related communications to your institutional email address.
Your email address is not displayed to other members through your profile or posts unless you choose to disclose it yourself.
3. Date of Birth and Age Verification
You must be at least 18 years old to use The Campus Feed.
We collect your date of birth as part of determining whether you meet this age requirement.
Your date of birth is not displayed to other members as part of your profile.
4. Content and Community Activity
When you use The Campus Feed, we collect information about the content and activities associated with your account. This may include posts, replies, reactions, Group activity, friendships, invitations, and other interactions with the Service.
The visibility of content depends on the feature you use.
Posts made to Everybody may be viewed by members of your school community.
Posts made to Friends are limited to the audience provided by that feature.
Groups are public within the applicable school community. Anyone at that school may view and join a Group, and Group posts may also appear in the main Feed.
The Campus Feed itself is intended for verified members of participating school communities and is not designed as a publicly browsable social network.
5. Direct Messages
The Campus Feed may allow members to communicate through direct messages.
We store direct messages as necessary to provide the messaging service. Direct messages are not displayed in the public Feed or on member profiles.
We may access, preserve, or review messages when reasonably necessary to operate the Service, investigate reports or abuse, enforce our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines, protect users or others, comply with legal obligations, or maintain the security of the Service.
6. Member Safety
The Campus Feed provides tools that allow members to control their interactions with other members.
You may block another member if you do not want that person to interact with you through The Campus Feed. Blocking may limit that person's ability to view or interact with your content, contact you through direct messages, or otherwise interact with you through the Service.
You may also report content, accounts, or behavior that you believe violates our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines.
If you are being harassed, threatened, stalked, or believe you may be in danger, do not rely solely on The Campus Feed's blocking or reporting tools. Contact your school, campus security, local law enforcement, emergency services, or another appropriate authority as the situation warrants.
We may review reports and take action we consider appropriate, including removing content or restricting, suspending, or terminating accounts.
7. Invitations
The Campus Feed may allow members to invite other people using personal invitation links or other sharing tools.
When someone uses an invitation link and subsequently joins The Campus Feed, we may record which existing member's invitation link led to that registration.
Invitation attribution may be used to understand how The Campus Feed grows, operate invitation-related features, and prevent abuse.
An invitation link does not bypass The Campus Feed's eligibility or institutional email verification requirements.
8. Information Collected Automatically
When you access The Campus Feed, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, such as:
- IP address.
- Browser and device information.
- Pages or features accessed.
- Dates and times of activity.
- Referring pages or links.
- Basic interaction and usage information.
- Error, security, and diagnostic information.
We may use this information to operate, secure, maintain, analyze, and improve The Campus Feed.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Campus Feed uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service.
For example, cookies may be used to keep you signed in, maintain your session, remember certain choices, support invitation attribution, protect against abuse, and understand how the Service is being used.
Some cookies are necessary for The Campus Feed to function properly.

We may use information about the school community you belong to, general usage of the Service, or the context in which advertising appears to select, deliver, or measure advertising.
If we use third-party advertising technologies that collect information about users or devices, we will handle those technologies in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
12. Surveys, Polls, and Research
From time to time, The Campus Feed may invite members to participate in surveys, polls, interviews, research, or similar activities conducted by us or in cooperation with companies, organizations, or researchers.
Participation is voluntary.
Some opportunities may offer compensation. If compensation is offered, relevant terms will be disclosed before you choose to participate.
Before participating, you may also be provided with additional information about what information will be collected, who is conducting or sponsoring the research, and how responses will be used or shared.
You may choose not to participate in research opportunities without affecting your ability to use The Campus Feed.

13. How We Share Information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
With other members. Information you choose to include in your profile, posts, replies, Groups, and other community features may be visible to other members according to the functionality and audience of those features.
With service providers. We may use companies or individuals to provide hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, technical infrastructure, advertising, or other services on our behalf. They may receive information necessary to perform those services.
For surveys and research. Information may be shared with a company, organization, researcher, or other party involved in a survey or research activity when that sharing is disclosed as part of the opportunity.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect the safety or rights of users or others, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, or protect The Campus Feed and Percycom.
Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar business transaction involving Percycom or The Campus Feed.
We do not sell your institutional email address or direct messages to advertisers.

15. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
When an account is deleted, we may delete, anonymize, or disassociate information associated with the account, subject to technical limitations and legitimate reasons for retaining certain information.
For example, we may retain information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, investigate abuse, maintain security, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.
Some information may also remain temporarily in backups or other systems before being deleted through normal retention processes.
16. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no internet service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting access to your email account and devices used to access The Campus Feed.
17. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate The Campus Feed, provide requested services, maintain accounts, enforce our policies, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect the Service and its users, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Different types of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.
18. Third-Party Links and Services
Posts, advertisements, or other parts of The Campus Feed may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Information you provide directly to another website, advertiser, company, or service is governed by that party's privacy practices.
19. Children's Privacy
The Campus Feed is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older.
We do not knowingly permit people under 18 to create accounts. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or delete the account and associated information as appropriate.
20. School Access and Disclosure
Although access to a school Feed requires an eligible institutional email address, participating schools do not operate The Campus Feed and do not automatically receive access to private account information simply because a member uses an email address associated with that institution.
The Campus Feed may disclose information to an educational institution when legally required to do so or when reasonably necessary to address a safety, security, legal, or serious abuse matter.
21. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as The Campus Feed changes or as legal or operational requirements evolve.
When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other appropriate means.
The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when the current version became effective.
